Top Hill Basketball Club Announces Second Annual "Reach One Teach One – Building Bridges to Success" Summer Camp

The Top Hill Basketball Club is in the planning stages for hosting its second annual Reach One Teach One – Building Bridges to Success basketball camp from July 7th to 11th, 2025, at the North Hill Basketball Court in Anguilla.

Building on the success of last year's inaugural camp, this year's event will feature an elite coaching lineup, including former NBA trainer Coach Najmuddin Ahmad, alongside Roger Farrington and Terrell Theophile, to provide professional training for young boys and girls aged 7–22 years.

The camp aims to empower participants through basketball while fostering discipline, teamwork, and academic excellence. Last year's program saw life-changing outcomes, with two young basketball players, Jaquan Samuels and Cameron Gumbs securing academic basketball scholarships at Menaul School in New Mexico, where they continue to excel both on the court and in the classroom.

Mrs. Evette Harrigan, President of the Top Hill Basketball Club, emphasized the camp's mission stating that "Our goal is to create pathways for young basketball players on Anguilla to succeed beyond the court. Last year's achievements prove that with the right guidance, our youth can reach extraordinary heights. We're excited to build on this momentum with an even stronger program in 2025."

Beresford Mack, CEO of the Reach One Teach One Building Bridges to Success organization, highlighted the camp's broader impact saying "This initiative isn't just about basketball, it's about building bridges to brighter futures. By combining elite coaching with mentorship, we're equipping young people with the tools to thrive academically and athletically, both locally and internationally."

The camp will focus on fundamental drills, advanced techniques, and mentorship, reflecting the success of the 2024 program, which garnered praise for its role in uniting communities and nurturing talent.
